For SBA lenders
Short answer
Critical E-Tran fields include borrower information (name, address, EIN), loan amount, maturity, interest rate, guaranty percentage, use of proceeds, collateral, and ownership details, which must match Form 1919.
Accurate and consistent data entry in E-Tran is paramount because the system generates the official SBA Loan Authorization based on this information. Discrepancies between E-Tran and other loan documents, especially Form 1919, can lead to processing delays, errors in the authorization, or even guaranty repair/denial if not corrected promptly.
A lender enters the borrower's legal name in E-Tran as "ABC Company Inc." but it is listed as "ABC Co. Inc." on Form 1919. This inconsistency, even minor, could cause the SBA authorization to be incorrect and must be resolved before or immediately after authorization.
