Glossary · The loan itself
In short
A type of loan specifically designed for businesses with fluctuating revenues due to seasonal demand. It helps bridge cash flow gaps during slower periods.
While an SBA 7(a) loan can provide Working capital purposes for seasonal businesses, it's not a revolving line of credit specifically for recurring seasonal needs. If your acquired business is highly seasonal, ensure your overall cash flow projection accounts for these fluctuations and that the debt service is sustainable year-round.
