The SBA transitioned to an electronic submission process through E-Tran, rendering the paper Form 1920 obsolete. All required information previously collected on Form 1920 is now entered directly into the E-Tran system, which generates the loan authorization.
A lender preparing a new 7(a) loan application goes directly to the E-Tran system to input all borrower and loan details, certifications, and requests, bypassing the need to complete or submit a Form 1920.
